I have no real words of wisdom. I have no actual medical prowess other than what I've gleaned from 9 years of parenting medically fragile children. But I do have a voice and I am choosing to use it here.

Just a quick warning. . .I may use words that you won't like. I have a fondness for being blunt and I am making the choice not to censor myself. So if you aren't fond of an occasional potty mouth then click away. . . now!

The nuts and bolts are that I am a divorced, stay at home mom to 2 amazing children. My almost 9 year old daughter Mads and my 7 year old wonder boy Jacks. Our beloved pediatrician tells me constantly that we've "won the medical lottery" with our children and their various problems. We are the less than .2% in practically everything. And this is my story. I am starting with today and at times may go back and tell other tales.

It is my hope that other families who have similar mountains will feel less alone and that is no small thing.
